I need to include cone mapping models of some predator species that are not in the plugin one. What’s the procedure to do it? What instructions should I follow? Also, do you know where I can find out the spectral sensitivities of the desired species and the relative frequencies of the cone cells in the retina?

Tracking down modelling parameters for your visual system of choice can be anything from a lucky find of someone’s past work to a tedious literature hunt followed by you making educated guesses on the ultimate choice of parameter values. Either one is common practice.
