When I try to load the ARW file for generating multispectral Image Generation, there is an error message saying, “Timeout – DCRAW doesn’t seem to have processed this file.” I couldn’t fix it. I’m using an M1 Macbook Pro with macOS Ventura 13.2.1.
Here is a link to the ARW file I tried to load:

Hi,
Have you tried using the updated DCRaw? https://www.empiricalimaging.com/2023/03/28/quick-fixes-to-errors-creating-or-loading-mspec-images-in-v2-1-1/
Cheers, Cedric
Hi, it might have to do with DCraw (i.e. libraw) not being able to use the recent lossless RAW compression format from never Sony cameras. I have tried using your test file and indeed can’t get it to run. Have you tried different RAW formats? Let me know how you go.
Hi Cedric,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I was using micatool v2.2.2, and the DCRaw had been updated already. I thought it might be because the RAW format I used was new (the camera was released in 2021), and it has not been included in the libRAW. Can you please let me know how to add it manually? I can only find the updated version for Windows, not for MAC.
Best,
Zongzhuang
